Wine Culture Museum
in La Rioja

Located in the Spanish wine-making region of La Rioja, the Vivanco Wine Culture Museum is one of the best of its kind. The 4500m2 building houses the main exhibition, a wine historical archive, classrooms, conference halls and a fine-dining restaurant. A subtle wayfinding system was designed to guide guests to the different locations in the building. An elegant coat of darker varnish on the wood paneling integrates well with the interior design and is conspicuous enough to be seen by visitors. As the museum and the Winery are both located within the Vivanco family estate, the outdoor signage had to clearly distinguish the routes for visitors and goods vehicles.
